For a Safe Road Trip

For an enjoyable and safe trip, here are some helpful tips.
Be well rested the night before.
Check whether your vehicle is in good condition for a journey.
Have a full check-up of your car every 6,000 miles.
Carry a spare tire in the trunk and know how to change a flat tire.
Clean the car's windows, lights, mirrors, and reflectors at least once a week.
Do not rely on stimulants (caffeine or amphetamine).
Stop to rest from time to time to exercise and stretch.
Keep in mind that smooth and straight roads that are boring are specially dangerous.
Do not travel on an empty stomach, make sure to eat a well-balanced meal before.
Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol.
All passengers in the car should wear a seat belt.
Put children in proper car seats or restraints.
Don't drink and drive or ride with someone who has been drinking.
Keep a safe distance from the car ahead of you.
Pull off the road as far as possible if your car breaks down.
