When arriving in Thailand ask for free copies of Thaiways magazine and Thaiways maps from the information counter at airports or hotels.

 

Jungle Trekking Regulations

Trekkers must observe the provisions of the 1961 National Parks Act as follows:

Strictly follow the trekking route designated by the National Park Office, in order to preserve the environment, to prevent accidents or getting lost in the jungle.
Do not collect any earth, rock, stone, pebble or ore.
Do not collect any kind of plant or parts thereof.
Do not write, engrave, make any mark or put advertising material anywhere in the park or its surroundings.
Do not carry any firearm into the national park area.
Do not use firearms or explosives or light fireworks.
Do not hunt, capture or collect any animal or insect.
Be careful not to set a forest fire accidentally by setting a cooking or camping fire or dropping a cigarette butt. Set cooking or camping fires only in the area provided and be sure to extinguish the fire when not in use.
Do not make any loud noise or use loudspeaker.
Please help keep the forest clean by placing waste material into the garbage bin provided and collect any garbage which is found in the forest by using the national park's garbage bag provided.
Do not change the wording on any sign in the park or add anything on the mark made by the park's ranger.
Strictly follow instructions and orders of the park's ranger or the trek master.
Do not perform any act which is against Thai culture, social value or belief.
Those who behave against the above regulations are subjected to punishment either by a fine or imprisonment or both in accordance with the 1961 National Parks Act.
Trekkers' valuable objects are at the owners' own risk.
