Khao Lak Bamboo Rafting

Hop on a bamboo raft and float along the river. This calm, relaxing ride on a bamboo raft poled by a local boatman will take you on board to enjoy the stunningly beautiful rainforest. The elephant trekking included in the program is also breathtakingly fun, when the gigantic mammal walks you over the rugged hill and along the river.

Highlights

Unlike whitewater rafting, bamboo rafting gives you a more relaxed and quiet ride along the river. You can take it easy, sit and let a local paddler take you to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the luxuriant tropical rainforest and the river. The water is clear and cool and you may get wet from the splash, or perhaps you can’t resist jumping into the water to swim, so dress yourself properly.
Jungle trekking in the southern forest is stunningly impressive with its diversity of exotic plants along the trail. Share your trekking passion and have a memorable time trekking with us.
Riding on the elephant back and swaying through the tropical forest is quite an unforgettable experience as well. The gigantic mammal will walk you along the rocky stream with the rainforest hillside as a background. At the elephant camp you will be amazed by the young elephant shows. The trip includes a demonstration of rubber tapping, which is a traditional source of income of the locals in southern Thailand.

About Khao Lak

Located about 1 hour drive from Khao Sok, Khao Lak is perhaps well known for its pristine beach and five-star resorts, mostly catered to families and tourists searching for tranquility. Khao Lak is actually named after Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park which occupies a large area of the four districts of Phang Nga—Thai Muang, Kapong, Takua Pa and Muang.  The nature in the Khao Lak area is beautiful with beaches and virgin forest. Apart from beachfront relaxation and scuba diving which is popular here, tourists may want to join our tour and participate in some adventurous outdoor activities such as elephant trekking into a lush jungle, bamboo rafting, white water rafting and rainforest trekking. Besides, there are other interesting things to do in Khao Lak like rubber tapping, snake show and monkey show.
