When arriving in Thailand
ask for free copies of Thaiways magazine and Thaiways maps from the information
counter at airports or hotels.
Accommodation is
more abundant and varied along Khao Lak beach than other areas of the province.
The price ranges from 200 - 300 baht for a small room with fan to 2,000
- 3,000 baht for a luxurious air-con room. There is also a number of hotels
in Phang-nga town, Kuraburi and Thai Muang. In other areas which are less
active, there are only a few places to stay.
As to the national parks, normally there are government bungalows or rowhouses
available near the park's office. Camping is also allowed with a small fee.
