Thaiways magazine and maps

When arriving in Thailand ask for free copies of Thaiways magazine and Thaiways maps from the information counter at airports or hotels.

In town
There are songthaeo or minibus services running throughout the town. Fares range from 10 to 30 baht depending on the distance. Three-wheeled taxis (or tuk-tuk ) and motorcycle taxis are available and fares are to be negotiated beforehand. You can also get around the city leisurely by hired bicycle or motorcycle.

Getting to Nearby Provinces
There are bus services going between Chiang Rai town and other districts and nearby provinces; for the latter, air-conditioned buses are also available. If you want to explore distant towns of Chiang Rai at your own pace, you can rent a van, jeep or car at rental shops and some hotels and guesthouses.

For more information, call the bus terminal 0 5371 1369.
